About Margaret

I travel for adventure and am thoroughly engaged in the uncertainty it brings. May your adventures be filled with great experiences and memories you will never forget. Safe Travels.

Over the years, my travels whether through my work or in retirement have taken me to Mexico, Central and Latin America, the former Soviet states, most of Europe, and Japan.

At 76 I continue to travel. I have walked the Santiago Trail in Spain, France and Portugal and trails along the Irish coast.

Canada has been covered in a van, big fun.

The adventure of hiking in the Andes remains my passion as well as the nature and culture of the Latin American countries.

Lately I have spent a good deal of time in the Galapagos snorkeling with the turtles.

Safe travels is my belief in my green rosary, too many Shinto amulets and a Native American smudge. 35 years stuffed in my backpack my safe travels have finally graduated in their expression and to a proper custom of traveling. Sharing what creates “safe travels” uses my sewing, painting, carving, beadwork and storytelling skills to create the Safe Travels Pouch.
